What is detoxification

Principally, detoxification means cleansing of the blood. Cleansing is done by removing impurities from the blood in the liver, where toxins are processed for elimination. The body also eliminates toxins through the kidneys, intestines, lungs, lymph and skin. However, when this system of cleansing is not done properly, impurities saturate in the body and every cell in the body is harmfully affected. 

Detoxification is done by decreasing the toxins we put down into our body, at the same time supporting our body’s detoxification and elimination systems with the nutrients which needs to function properly. Detoxification is a process in which our body does naturally to neutralize, transform or get rid of unwanted materials or toxins.

Causes for Toxins:

Our bodies process these toxins through organs like: liver, kidneys and eliminate them in the form of sweat, urine, and feces.”

The basic idea behind a ‘detoxification’ is that, this modern world puts so much stress on our body, because every day we are exposed to a large number of toxins, and the natural detoxification mechanisms in our bodies cannot pullout the detoxification burden.  So “Detoxing” is necessary to ensure that our body working properly-to put off any negative effects of toxin-build-up in the body.

A detoxing can help the body’s natural cleansing process by:

1. Fasting: this gives Rest to the organs
2. Stimulating the liver to force out toxins from the body
3. Promoting elimination through intestines, kidneys and skin
4. Improving blood circulation
5. Refueling the body with healthy nutrients.

How to start detoxing?

First, reduce your toxin intake. Get rid of alcohol addiction ( If you have ), coffee, cigarettes, refined sugars and saturated fats, these all act as toxins in the body and are obstacles to remedial process. Also, minimize use of chemical-based household cleaners and personal health care products (cleansers, shampoos, deodorants and toothpastes), and replace that with natural alternatives.
